Medicare Participating Physicians/Suppliers Directory
The Medicare participating physicians/suppliers directory (MEDPARD) is an easy-to-use directory for finding participating physicians and suppliers in a specific area. Participating physicians and suppliers are those who have agreed to accept assignment on all Medicare claims.
The MEDPARD is not available in hardcopy format. A MEDPARD equivalent is available through the Internet, which includes all participating providers.
The directory is now available via the NGSMedicare.com Web site under the Resources tab.
Medicare Annual Wellness Visit
Two new HCPCS codes, G0438 - Annual wellness visit, includes a personalized prevention plan of service (PPPS), first visit, (Short descriptor – Annual wellness first) and G0439 - Annual wellness visit, includes a personalized prevention plan of service (PPPS), subsequent visit, (Short descriptor – Annual wellness subseq) will be implemented January 1, 2011, through the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Database (MPFSDB) and Integrated Outpatient Code Editor (IOCE).
